Takuan Osho Yukari Temple: An Exhibition of Sukyouji Temple

Sukyoji Temple in Izushi was established as the family temple of the Yamana clan, and is also called “Takuan Temple” due to its relation to Takuan Soho. The temple was bound to the daimyo who governed over the Tajima region from the Sengoku period up until the Edo period. We would like to introduce written documents related to Takuan Soho and his life story, as well as the fact that this temple is indispensable for telling the history of the Tajima region.
